Jay Houser

James “Jay” Houser is a Southern transplant from Danville, Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2012. Days later, he raised his right hand and began ten years of service as an Abrams tank crewman in the U.S. Army from 2012 to 2023. James earned his Master’s of Arts in Military History during a tour of duty in South Korea. In 2023 Jay left the Army, moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and started working at Nicolet Law.

Jay still drills one weekend a month with the Army National Guard; he spends the rest of his time exercising, reading, writing, going to concerts and spending time with his wife Margaret and their dog Elsie. He is a huge history buff and always enjoys a cold beer and a fresh book.

He takes pride in knowing that the work he does helps ordinary people find justice and restitution in extraordinary circumstances.
