Biography

Clients often come to us after one of the worst days of their lives.

They’re reeling from a catastrophic accident or a debilitating tragedy – and on top of that, they’re now facing companies that want to take advantage of them.

It’s our job to help them stand up against these opponents as they navigate a complex world of doctors, medical appointments, and insurance disputes.

This work is not for the faint of heart, but serving my clients is an honor and a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

I decided to become a lawyer because of my father.

My father practiced for 42 years prior to his death. He taught me that the law provides the abilities and avenues to defend the average person against the largest of opponents.

I saw him stand up time and time again against these companies, and he inspired me to do the same.

I grew up in the dynamic city of Rochester, Minnesota and attended Winona State University, getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Society. After that, I attended William Mitchell College of Law.

My father passed away before he saw me finish law school, but I am proud to continue his legacy of defending people who are being taken advantage of.

With each and every client, I work hard to clear the fog for them and guide them every step of the way to the end of their case. I know this case means the world to them, and I dedicate myself to their cause.

I’ve helped a client suffering from a brain injury receive an $800K settlement, a client who was in a rollover accident receive a $500K settlement, and even the victim of a dog bite receive a $90K settlement – to name a few.

But the greatest part of my career is giving clients the closure that they deserve after this life-changing event.

I love seeing my clients finish this difficult chapter of their life so that they can focus on healing, knowing that I helped lift that stress from their shoulders.

Outside of the office, I love to spend time with my family. I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart, and we love to go kayaking together – at least, we did before our daughters were born. But I believe it is important to share hobbies and create new ones with your children. That’s why my wife and I love to take our daughters and our dog to explore the great outdoors of Minnesota and Wisconsin. You’ll also often find me at Como Zoo, reading stacks of picture books to fuel our daughters’ love of animals.
