Ben’s law career spans more than two decades, most of which has been spent practicing personal injury law in Iowa.
Growing up in a small town in Kansas, he learned the values of hard work at an early age by putting up hay and walking beans in middle school. After attending both college and law school in Kansas, he moved to the Des Moines area with his wife in 2006. From 2012 to 2016, Ben gained invaluable experience working in-house for an insurance company, where he got an inside look into how insurers operate and how they work to protect their bottom line.
In 2016, Ben transitioned to plaintiff advocacy and has represented injured Iowans ever since. His work is known across the state, having negotiated and tried jury cases from Council Bluffs to Waterloo, and from Fort Dodge to Des Moines.
When he’s not standing up for injured folks, Ben enjoys spending time with his family. His three children keep him busy with sports games, dance recitals, and competitions. In his free time Ben enjoys lifting weights, following the sports teams of his alma mater Kansas Jayhawks, and reading.
