Fight Back Against Wrongfully Denied Insurance Claims

Owning an insurance policy should mean that you are protected in the event of an accident or disaster. For too many of our clients, this is not the case. When an insurance company refuses to pay the full amount on a claim, we take swift action to pursue the compensation that you need.

Denied Claims And Bad Faith

Insurance companies may look for loopholes which allow them to refuse to pay for part or all of your claim. While the number of factors that could lead to an insurer refusing to pay the full amount of a claim are almost limitless, there are three core issues that often lead to a dispute.

Most Common Factors In Denied Insurance Disputes

  • The first concerns coverage limits and exclusions. Limits on the amount of damage an insurance company is responsible for covering as well as exclusions on certain types of damages that they do not cover are written into your contract. These limits and exclusions can sometimes be misinterpreted or twisted by an insurer to justify not paying your full claim.
  • The second involves differing valuations of the property that was damaged or destroyed. By undervaluing the property that was lost, insurers technically uphold their end of the contract while paying you less than you are entitled to.
  • The third is bad faith. Your policy is a contract with the insurance company. Insurers must abide by both the letter and spirit of the contract. When an insurance company delays payment, demands unreasonable documentation or denies claims based on false pretenses, it is acting in bad faith. We hold such companies accountable in and out of court.

If your property has been destroyed or you have been injured, these disputes can be crushing. You do not have to accept an unfair offer without any pushback.
